02The spring system

Four springs. One scale.

Every reformer has colour-coded springs, from light green to heavy red. We colour each class by the springs it mostly works on, so the timetable tells you how hard an hour will be before you book it.

  1. 01 · Green spring

    Gentle

    Gentle and restorative

  2. 02 · Yellow spring

    Flowing

    Flowing, moderate load

  3. 03 · Blue spring

    Strong

    Strong and challenging

  4. 04 · Red spring

    Heavy

    Advanced, heavy load

Hover a spring to load it.

03Classes

Pick your springs.

Reformer, tower, mat and live online. Every class runs at the same length every week, with the same teacher in the same room.

04The level path

Foundations to Tower.

Four steps, each a little heavier than the last. It’s guidance, not a gate: your account counts your classes and shows where you are, and you can always book what you like.

  1. Step 01 · Start here

    Foundations

    Gentle

Learn the reformer: springs, footbar, straps and the five basics.

    About Foundations
  2. Step 02 · After 1 Foundations class

    Flow

    Flowing

Full-body classes at a steady pace.

    About Flow
  3. Step 03 · After 10 Flow classes

    Sculpt

    Strong

Heavier springs and longer holds. Jump Board counts here too.

    About Sculpt
  4. Step 04 · After 15 Sculpt classes

    Tower

    Heavy

    Classical repertoire on the tower.

06Teachers

The people calling the springs.

Dancers, a rower, a physio, a sprinter. Each one teaches the same classes in the same rooms every week, so you can follow a teacher you like.

08Your first class

What happens on day one.

No experience needed, and no one expects you to know the words. Plans change: cancel or move a class up to 12 hours before it starts.

  1. 01Before

    Book Foundations

One class on the basics: the springs, the footbar, the straps and how to get on and off the carriage without thinking about it.

  2. 02−10 min

    Arrive ten minutes early

Tell the desk it’s your first time. Your teacher sets your springs, moves the footbar to your height and shows you the straps before anyone starts.

  3. 03On the bed

    Grip socks on

They’re required on the reformer. Bring your own, or add a pair when you book and pick them up at the desk. They’re yours to keep.

  4. 04In class

    Slow, then shaking

Controlled moves at a steady pace. Your legs will shake around minute thirty; that’s the springs doing their job. Go lighter whenever you need to.

North light, ash wood, black steel. And a lot of shaking legs.
